“Give Stress a Rest”
I have co-authored a book titled “Give Stress a Rest.”
It was a collaborative effort involving other trainers, speakers and
consultants. This book is packed with great information on relieving
stress, including tips on meditation (and balancing your chakras!), changing
your thinking (my chapter!), and many ways to lighten up and add more fun to
your life! Cost is $20.00, plus $5.00 for tax plus shipping and handling.

I had the slave treatment last night. Have waited on
this customer many times over the years. I must not be learning this lesson
as well as I think I am!!
We all have this type person in our lives, no matter
what we do for a living. They just seem to stand out more when I wait on
them.
These are the ones that are convinced that I was put
on this earth to satisfy their every need!! They know that there really is
no one else in the world and if I think there is- than I must be mistaken!
Last night when this couple walked in, I thought of
running to the kitchen and hiding, but did not make it!! Caught in the
middle of the dining room floor, I knew that we would be having another of
our two-hour sparring matches! These matches consist of them being beyond
demanding and me trying not to choke the hell out of them!!
Most have ended in a draw in the past. As I went to
the bar to get their cocktails (remembering, NO FRUIT- IT BRUISES THE GIN),
the bartender asked me what their problem was. I replied I had no idea but
I was very familiar with it!!
Strange thing happened…I decided not to play my side
of the match! I made a conscious attempt to not engage in their drama!!
Was I successful? Somewhat! Did I at least attempt to think of others?
Yes! Will it make me a better person? I hope so! Did it make my night
more pleasant? Hell YES!!

As the end of the year approaches, I must say I am
extremely thankful. Thankful for the lessons I have learned, thankful for
this year ending, and most thankful for a new one beginning! This has not
been my smoothest year (huge understatement!), and while I am grateful for
the growth, I am not sad to see it go!
I have already decided that this upcoming year is
going to be my best yet!! Since I strongly believe that our thoughts create
our reality, I have no doubt that this will be so. I have decided that my
year will be full of peace, blessings, and abundance. What about your New
Year?
Now is the time to focus on what you want to create in
Skills. It is important to take some time to get clear on what you want to
happen and how you want to feel next year (remember we have a choice about
this!). What are you goals (or intentions)? What do you wish to attract?
To gain clarity, take a few minutes to focus on your
breathing and get centered. Once your mind is still, ask your soul what it
most wants. Your ego may chime in with what it wants, but you don’t have to
listen. Just say “thanks for sharing” and go back to listening to your
soul. If it is your soul speaking to you, it will feel good (inside your
body) and if it is your ego, not so good. Pay attention to the subtle
differences in your body when you ask.
Once you have gotten clear on your desires, print a
copy of your top 5 and place it where it will be frequently seen. Begin your
day by going over this list and being thankful that what you desire is being
created. You can use some of the tips from the last issue on manifesting.
To recap: raise your vibration (energy level) while giving thanks for what
you want to create.
One other note on the creation process. Keep in mind
that you get back what you put out. In other words, as you give, you
receive. If you want more love, give more love. If you want more money,
give more money. (This is a challenging one, but it actually works!) If
you want more blessings, give more blessings. My sister recently reminded
me of this one!
Start your year off by being focused and thankful for
what you want to create. Keep your thoughts and feelings in alignment with
what you want to happen. Remember that you have the power to create
whatever you desire. Make it your best year yet!!
“Our outside world is a reflection of our inside. If
you want to change your business or your life, start by looking inward.”

Dessert
The dessert pick for the week is the audio cassette
“The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success” by Deepak Chopra. In this audio, he
disagrees with the idea that success must be achieved by hard work and
driving ambition. He shares an alternative way to reaching success. By
following his seven spiritual laws, you can create whatever you desire in a
much more meaningful and less stressful way. Follow these laws and success
will be yours before you know it!

Thanks for stopping by! Feel free to spread the word
and we will see you in two weeks.
