stress, including tips on meditation (and balancing your chakras!), changing
your thinking (my chapter!), and many ways to lighten up and add more fun to
your life! Cost is $20.00, plus $5.00 for tax plus shipping and handling.

For those of you in San Antonio, I am
offering 2 ongoing coaching groups. The 1st is called the Namaste’ Healing
Circle and the purpose of the group is to help individuals look within and
follow their inner guidance to create the life they desire. The group is
growing and the feedback from those attending has been really great!! This
group will be held on the 9th and 23rd of this month from 7:30p-8:30p.
The 2nd group is called “Give Stress a Rest,”
titled after the book I co-authored. The intention of this group is to help
individuals reduce stress and add more peace and joy to their lives. This
group will be held at the Barnes and Noble at 281 and 1604 (in San Antonio)

time to address the stress in your life, join this group!!! I will discuss
many new and exciting ways to reduce stress.

Crazy?
Bill Shade
The definition of crazy, according to Webster, is
“unsound of mind, foolish, not sensible.” I know I qualify, how about you?
My question is why would you want to be anything else?
There have been so many times in my life that I tried
to lead a life of satiability and do the Right Thing!! All I ever got was
heartburn and a large case of feeling that I simply did not fit in!! Ever
get the feeling that they passed out a book with the rules for living and
you were out of the room? Year after year this is the way I felt!! I now
realize that I was comparing my insides to everyone else’s outsides! No
wonder I felt so disconnected!
Thank God things are always in a state of change and I
did not end up living my life feeling like an alien visiting another
planet!! I found some courage with a small push from my wife, ok a large
push! I quit trying to fit in, took her suggestion, and decided to do what
makes me happy!! Wow - what fear!!
This meant having to listen to my inner voice and not
do what everyone else said was the RIGHT THING. Ever wonder who made the
decision of what is the Right Thing? I mean, is there a committee that gets
together every year and updates the list? Does this committee have popular
opinion polls that they check, or are the totally autocratic and simply make
it up as they go along??
A friend of my read a book not to long ago and the
author suggested that we follow our bliss!! What a great idea! Imagine what
life would be like if we, following the rule of psychological reciprocity,
followed our bliss. Made decisions that were based on our own personal
growth and happiness! Would the world be a better place? I do not know
-bet it would!! Would I be happier? You bet. When I am happy and at peace
do I get along better with the people of this world? Hell yes!!
When I am following my bliss does that arrogant
self-centered customer or fellow staff member bother me? Yes! The joy is
that the irritation is short lived, does not live rent-free in my mind, and
never, never touches my soul! The reason is that I am, for the first time,
the captain of my ship. The Right Thing is what I say it is and not the
rules from the committee!!

Within your personal reality, you can choose to be
selfish or giving, to look upon yourself and others brutally or with
compassion, to serve yourself or to serve others and the Earth. Gary Zukav

What
Can You Give?
Suzie
Dawson
One of the great secrets of manifesting is
that what goes out must come back. I wrote briefly about this in the last
issue. What we give to the world, we get back. This holds true in our
businesses and in our personal lives. How are you contributing?
My mom is a great example of this. She gives
and gives and gives. She will give to anyone who asks, whether it be the
kid down the block selling candy, the relative selling magazine
subscriptions, or the charity soliciting funds over the phone. Not to
mention helping her daughters out whenever they need it.
My sister and I have decided that she will
never be short of money because of this. Even though she enjoys shopping
and spending more than probably anyone, she will never come up short. This
is because she gives so much. And she does it from the heart, without
hesitation. She is a saint.
My point is that instead of asking the
universe for what you need, try asking for what you can give or how you can
best serve. Like the famous line from the JFK speech says, “Ask not what
your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.” What a
beautiful way to approach life.
There are many benefits to this way of
thinking. The first is that it just feels better to want to give, instead
of constantly focusing on what you can get. The second is that in the
giving, you also receive. And of course the third is that whatever you give
will come back to you. (To give merely for the last reason, however, will
leave you feeling empty.)
My challenge to you is to start focusing on
what you can give, instead of what you can get. I guarantee if we all did
this, the world would be a much nicer place. And, what a beautiful way for
us all to start the New Year!!
