Desire Equals Resist
by
Suzie Dawson
My dreams continue to amaze me. This past week, I
had another life-altering dream. The theme was, once again, about
attracting what we desire. I woke up with a clear "knowing" that I was
supposed to share this message.
In the dream, I was drawing cards from an oracle
deck (similar to the Tarot cards). I kept drawing the same card over and
over again. The name of the card was Centaury. No, not the half man/
half horse (centaur), and not of the herb family (centaury). The meaning
of the word, according to my dream, was that desire and resist are the
same thing.
The message was that if you want to attract
something into your life, having a strong desire will only repel it away
from you. The reason for this is because desire and resist both have the
same quality of "being in the lack of" something. To put it simply, if
you desire something, you are coming from a place of "I don't have this
thing I want." According to the Universal Law of Attraction (which I
have been studying for some time now), you must be in vibrational
harmony with what you desire. This means that you must feel as
if you have already created what you want.
For example, if you want more money, feel the
abundance already in your life. If you want more time, notice all the
time you now have (even if it is small!). If you want a new job, house,
lover, etc., don't push it away by having this great desire for it!
Simply put your attention on what you wish to have and "act as if" or
pretend you already have it!
You do not have to spend every moment doing this,
but I truly believe that the key to getting what you want is taking your
focus off of what you don't want and placing it on what you
do want. The point is, that you get what you focus on, so why not
spend some time each day imagining or pretending that you have what you
want. I have been doing this on a regular basis for some time now and it
is working miracles!!
It is a much easier way to approach life than the
"you have to work hard for what you want" kind of attitude. I don't hold
that belief. Experience has shown me that this is not true for me. For
the 1st 2 1/2 years of my coaching business, I worked like a mad-woman
trying to get things going. After the "Heff" dream I wrote about last
issue (about letting go), I have stopped the constant "busyness" and
allowed things to flow. Things are not only flowing, but pouring in!!
How diffiicult we make life! I have long been a
believer that there is an easier way than the old notion that you have
to struggle and sacrifice to get ahead. It has become very apparent that
there is. It is found by applying the Universal Law of Attraction. For
more information on this, pick up the book "Excuse Me, Your Life is
Waiting" by Lynn Grabhorn, or check out

is a wealth of great information from these to sources. Happy
Creating!!!

Affirmation
I easily attract what I want by focusing my
attention upon things that bring me joy!
*A note on affirmations….It is okay if
you don’t really believe them. But be open to the possibility that from
a different viewpoint it could be true. Pretend or imagine that it is
true. The effect is just the same!
