Welcome
to U.S. history!
 | ***1859 Where so far only blacks had revolted against slavery now
we got John Brown. He raided Harpers Ferry and offered arms to any black who wanted them.
Brown was captured by Lee (later General Lee). |
 | Brown had been a failure all his life. Yet he was a success in death. The
author of Moby Dick, a book supposedly describing the struggle between black and white in
America, called Brown "the Meteor of the War." The flesh of Brown was executed
for treason December 2nd 1859, yet a new spirit of Brown was born and is still
alive in folklore today. Brown had been the single most important factor starting the
Civil war. After Browns death plantation owners in the south didnt sleep good
at night. And thanks to Brown, the South started its own army. |
